I’m a margarita lover through and through and this is BY FAR my favorite way to enjoy tequila and sunshine.

What’s A Sparkling Margarita and why aren’t they all made this way??
First of all, fair question. The only reason I can think of is stubbornness. People who are dead set in their ways and won’t move onto more bubbly and delicious ways to get drunk. Or they hate sparkling water (I’ve heard of those people but have never seen one in the wild).
Essentially, a sparkling margarita is just a margarita with some bubbles. The bubbles can be non-alcoholic like your favorite sparkling water OR they can be Prosecco. Both are an amazing way to marg, only one is low carb though ๐ so we are doing the skinny way today but please don’t let me stop you from poppin’ that prosecco and enjoying your life.

Okay…but how many carbs are we talking here?
Unfortunately, booze has carbs so…this isn’t carb-free. But it’s alcohol carbs so it’s more fun and somehow slightly more acceptable to those who judge us.
The carbs in this skinny sparkling margarita will vary based on the simple syrup you choose! If you use sugar-free simple syrup, the carbs will all come from the tequila and lime juice (about 2 grams carbs per drink). If you use agave or honey to sweeten, you’ll be looking at around 12 grams of carbs per drink.
The Ingredients
All you need is your favorite Tequila Blanco, fresh lime juice, margarita salt, and sparkling water! I’ve been on a Waterloo kick but I also love the more affordable stuff from Aldi.
How to get the Good Ice!
I was recently gifted with my new favorite cocktail companion–a nugget ice maker! This baby is perfect for me because I don’t need good ice every day. Okay, so maybe if it’s been a long week and I want a cocktail two days in a row, then it stays on the counter. Most of the time, this lives unplugged and dry in my pantry until Friday afternoon when I plug it in and in SIX MINUTES I have nugget ice. #happyhour.

You can find this Euhomy Nugget Ice Maker on Amazon for a reasonable price right now, and if you aren’t into black, it also comes in silver.

- Coarse Salt for the rim
Instructions
- Wet the rim of a rocks glass with lime juice, then dip it in coarse salt. Set aside.
